On February 13, 2019, the McCall MacBain family announced the establishment of a $200 million scholarship fund for studies at McGill University. The scholarships will cover tuition, fees and living stipend for 75 students every year – 50 from across Canada and 25 from around the world – with the aim to reward good citizenship and leadership qualities above academic achievement.

The McCall MacBain Foundation, founded in March 2007, is a grant-making organization established in Geneva, Switzerland by John and Marcy McCall MacBain.

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP represented the McCall MacBain Foundation in connection with this project with a team led by Sébastien Savage that consisted of Daniel Stysis (Corporate) Mark Brender and David Wilson (Tax).
