Government & Public Sector – Financial Services

The pandemic has put a spotlight on government-related financing, both around raising money to offset lost revenues and securing capital to build infrastructure projects. Going forward, all levels of government will need to think creatively about funding, whether that’s issuing debt to offset declines in revenue, tapping into capital markets to help finance a project or pursuing other kinds of financing transactions.

Osler’s Government and Public Sector team has worked with municipal, provincial and federal governments to develop financing strategies and policies. We’ve secured investors and have helped issue equity and debt for infrastructure projects, offered guidance on how best to increase revenues and helped draft financial policy for key financial services-related regulatory authorities. Osler’s multidisciplinary team of experts helps you resolve issues and meet your objectives.
