Technology – Employment and Labour

The pandemic has transformed workplace environments across sectors, accelerating the trend of technology-enabled remote work and introducing new considerations like staffing shortages and questions over vaccination mandates and regular testing requirements. In an uncertain and rapidly evolving climate, employers are looking to establish new workplace norms while attracting and retaining the best talent.

Osler’s lawyers work with many technology companies — both established giants and emerging start-ups — on all aspects of their employment and labour needs. We have significant experience advising Canadian and multinational enterprises on key employment contracts and executive compensation, cross-border issues, occupational health and safety, pensions and benefits, post-acquisition integration and restructuring, workplace investigations, resolving employee disputes and other sensitive labour matters.

Technology is a fast-paced and ultra-competitive industry where staying ahead of the curve, and having the talent to get you there, is paramount. With broad experience and a deep understanding of market practices, Osler’s Employment and Labour team provides creative and practical legal advice to help your organization optimize its workforce.
