Hospitality and Leisure

Overview

The multi-billion dollar hospitality and leisure industry is an important contributor to the Canadian and global economies. Optimism surrounding its long-term and lucrative growth expectations continues to attract interest in existing assets and new development projects, resulting in greater competition among investors, lenders and proprietors, and has given rise to new business models leveraging operational expertise. The industry also continues to embrace and adapt to disruptive technologies affecting buyer behaviour and demand preferences. From the surge of the sharing economy to influential social media platforms, customers have fundamentally changed the way they research, plan and select destination experiences.
