Reconciliation with Canada’s indigenous peoples is not an act of simply apologizing for past wrongs, or a matter of benevolence or charity. It is a matter of respect and recognition, of building bridges and new relationships. As Canadians seek to understand and implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) recommendations, Osler is delighted to host a discussion with Senator Murray Sinclair, who served as Chair of the TRC.  Join us as Senator Sinclair discusses the findings of the TRC, and reflects on the TRC’s report and calls to action for lawyers.

Speaker

The Honourable Senator Murray Sinclair – Member of the Senate of Canada, retired judge, and former Chair of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission of Canada
