Derek has completed his first year of the JD program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, Derek obtained a BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, with a dual specialization in Finance and Accounting. While at York, Derek was a member of the varsity hockey team.
During his time at law school, Derek has been involved as a Co-Founder of The Negotiations Club. He also served as a 1L Representative for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Additionally, he is a member of the Future of Law Lab’s AI Safety and Liability Working Group.
