Emily is entering her third year of the J.D. program at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law in the fall. Prior to law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University, where she majored in Finance and completed the Canadian Securities Course. Emily worked as a first-year summer student at Osler in 2022 and has returned for her second year where she will be rotating through the Banking & Financial Services and Insolvency & Restructuring practice groups.
During the academic year, Emily is involved in a number of student-run committees including the Women and the Law Club, where she was elected the Vice-President of Finance. Emily is also the Co-Chair of the Bay Street Hoops charity basketball tournament, an event which has raised over $2 million for youth access to sports since its inception. Prior to law school, Emily worked as a legal assistant for a national independent financial services firm in Toronto. In this role, she supported counsel in practice areas including securities, corporate secretarial, trademarks, wealth management, and general corporate matters.
