John is a partner in Osler's Litigation department. John's civil trial practice involves appearances in the Courts of Ontario and New Brunswick. John has substantial experience in significant cases involving commercial contracts, insurance coverage disputes and labour related issues such as injunctions and executive dismissals.
His role as advocate includes counsel work at both the trial and appellate levels. John also has extensive experience in insolvency litigation, having participated in several major restructurings involving large public and private corporations, and retainers on behalf of Canadian and U.S. lending institutions in receivership and cross-border proceedings. He is cross-appointed to the firm’s Insolvency and Restructuring group.
