Sheri Wang

Sheri is a securities regulatory lawyer in Osler’s Corporate group. She primarily counsels dealers, advisers, fund managers, marketplaces and alternative-trading platforms on securities law compliance and regulatory matters such as registration, marketplace regulation, the dealer-member and market integrity rules of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), and the rules of Canadian marketplaces including the Toronto Stock Exchange and the NEO Exchange. She also represents public and private companies in capital markets transactions, including setting up and completing transactions with special purpose acquisition companies. Her sector experience includes cannabis, financial services, fintech, healthcare and technology.

Prior to joining Osler, Sheri was NEO Exchange’s Regulatory Compliance Manager responsible for ensuring securities law compliance obligations and the requirements of the regulatory authorities (IIROC, the Ontario Securities Commission, and other Canadian securities regulatory authorities) were met. She was also responsible for providing periodic and ad-hoc presentations and reporting to the regulatory committee of the board of directors.

Prior to the NEO Exchange, she served as Legal Counsel in the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission.
