Simon Cameron

Simon’s general litigation practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, with particular focus on shareholder, securities, and privacy disputes. He has appeared as counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, all levels of court in Ontario, and numerous regulatory bodies. Simon has also assisted clients in conducting internal investigations and in responding to regulatory and police investigations.

Prior to joining Osler, Simon was an associate at another leading law firm.

Simon obtained his JD with distinction from the University of Toronto, where he received the Edward J. Kowal ’65 prize for overall achievement in commercial law courses and prizes for top standing in Administrative Law, Bankruptcy and Insolvency, Business Organizations, and Advanced Business Law.  At law school, Simon was involved in mooting; he coached and was a member of winning teams in the Corporate and Securities Law Moot and served on the Moot Court Committee and as co-Chief Justice of the University of Toronto Grand Moot.

Prior to attending law school, Simon worked for several years in the technology industry as a database and web developer. As an undergraduate, Simon won the North American Debating Championships and numerous other debating prizes.
