2016 Diversity Disclosure Practices: Where are the women?

Oct 7, 2016

Improving gender diversity in corporate leadership roles continues to be a key focus of legislators, regulators and the media in many parts of the world as well as in Canada. How are TSX-listed companies stacking up? Looking to answer this question, Osler’s Corporate Governance Practice Group analyzed disclosure relating to women in leadership roles made by TSX companies in 2016 (prior to July 31, 2016) against the results from the same period in 2015. Results highlighted in our 2016 Diversity Disclosure Practices Report indicate a number of areas for improvement.
