Gender diversity in corporate boardrooms continues to be a key focus of institutional investors and regulators alike. As revealed in Osler’s 2022 Diversity Disclosure Practices report , however, progress has been varied in terms of increasing board diversity in corporate Canada. Our report also reveals some discrepancies by industry in terms of the representation of women on boards and in executive officer positions at TSX-listed companies.
Using data from our report, we took an in-depth look at 13 of these industries to better understand the various factors at play and examine what companies in these industries are doing to increase gender parity in leadership positions.
