As part of its ongoing review of land use planning legislation and policies, the Ontario government has released a draft update to the Provincial Policy Statement. All land use planning decisions in the province are required to be consistent with this document. The draft is open for comment until October 20, 2019.
Osler has prepared an unofficial comparison, showing the changes as compared to the 2014 PPS, which remains in force until a revised PPS is formally brought into effect.
