On February 28, 2020, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing released the Provincial Policy Statement, 2020. It will come into effect on May 1, 2020. All decisions on or after that date under the Planning Act, or that affect a planning matter will be required to be consistent with the new PPS. Decisions prior to that date will continue to be required to be consistent with the 2014 PPS.
