Overview and Rotations

Located in the world's financial capital, our New York office offers legal advice on a variety of U.S. and cross-border matters. Our teams of U.S. lawyers work across our Canadian offices to provide seamless, integrated service in the laws of both countries. We represent a number of overseas clients, with interests in Canada and the United States, who use New York as a gateway for their international activities.

The New York office currently has over 20 lawyers, most of whom began their careers at major New York law firms, but were attracted to Osler's high profile cross-border practice in an office geared for exceptional growth. As team-members in an emerging office, these lawyers play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and development of the firm's U.S. operations.

Our New York office offers the resources of an international firm combined with the collegiality of a smaller office. In a supportive environment, we include students in every possible aspect of our practices. Summer and articling students have the opportunity to informally network with firm members at a variety of social and cultural activities, from dinners to cocktail parties, sporting events, Broadway theatre outings and spa retreats.
