Ben has obtained his J.D. and M.B.A. at Queen’s University. Prior to law school, he obtained an honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, double majoring in International Relations and Ethics, Society & Law. During his undergraduate studies, he competitively rowed for the varsity rowing team.
While at Queen’s University, Ben has been actively involved in student advocacy, bringing student needs to the forefront, most recently as Student Senator on the Law Students’ Society. He also acted as a research assistant for Professor Robert Yalden, whose research focuses on the forces that shape competing perspectives on the roles and responsibilities of corporations, board of directors and various stakeholders. At Smith, he served as the Vice President on the MBA Student Executive Council, overseeing and improving student experiences inside and outside of the classroom. Through his course work, Ben also participated in the Tri-Colour Venture Capital Fund where he met with potential portfolio companies, conducted in depth due diligence and finally made a successful recommendation to the Fund’s Advisory Board.
While articling at Osler, Ben will be working with the Corporate, Banking & Financial Services and Bankruptcy & Insolvency groups.
