Chantal is a Special Counsel to Osler’s Gaming group. She has experience advising an array of clients involved in the land based and online gaming industries, with a focus on licensing, compliance, and governance and risk mitigation. Chantal also directs the legal and compliance team of a fintech company that provides real-time, bank account level data intelligence and bank-verified payment processing for licensed online gaming and sports betting operators in regulated U.S. markets.
Chantal is a published author of the Canada chapter for LexisNexis’ Gaming Law and Practice Book, Chambers and Partners’ Gaming, Gambling and Licensing Practice Guide for Canada, and various articles in gaming publications. She is also an adjunct professor with the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, teaching its Canada chapter of the Global Regulation of Sports Betting Course under its Sports Wagering and Integrity Certificate Program, and an advisory board member to Gaming Americas. Chantal speaks at various conferences around the world and has provided commentary to media outlets such as the Globe and Mail and the National Post, on the potential legalization of single event sports betting in Canada.
