Cheri Bocking acts as Transaction Services Lawyer, Lead, in Osler’s Toronto office. She has over 15 years experience in business law with an emphasis on corporate/commercial transactions, real estate, mining and transportation (air and rail).
Prior to joining Osler in 2018, Cheri spent 3½ years at the Vancouver Airport Authority (YVR) as Legal Counsel. At YVR, Cheri was involved in many aspects of the Airport Authority’s legal affairs, including commercial leasing and other real estate matters, major real estate developments, construction projects, financings, commercial transactions and the licensing of third party operators (airlines and ground handlers).
Cheri is an expert in corporate law in multiple jurisdictions and is a contributing editor of the British Columbia Company Law Practice Manual. Cheri has spoken at Continuing Legal Education seminars on corporate governance matters.
Cheri’s broad skill set and her deep understanding of corporate and commercial transcations, combined with her understanding of modern technology platforms, allow her to give practical, timely and strategic legal advice to clients and to determine how to utilize technology to best serve clients’ business requirements.
