Claire is a member of the Privacy and Data Management group, and is currently an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Privacy and Access to Information Law Section.  She assists clients from all sectors in respect of a wide range of privacy and cybersecurity matters, including handling data breach investigations and response and interacting with regulatory authorities; conducting privacy and security reviews and audits; and drafting privacy policies, practices and procedures.

Claire also has litigation experience in the area of privacy class action defence and frequently advises clients on e-commerce and marketing initiatives to ensure compliance with Canadian anti-spam and consumer protection legislation. Claire previously held positions at the Office of the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner of Canada and the Centre for Law, Technology and Society in Ottawa.
