Daniel maintains a developing practice in tax law and has assisted on a broad range of matters including corporate tax planning and tax controversy and litigation.
Daniel graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Alberta. He previously completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Music, from the University of Calgary. In law school, Daniel worked as a research assistant for the Health Law Institute and as a Legal Research and Writing Fellow. During this time, Daniel was active in competitive mooting and represented the University of Alberta at the 2019 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot and the 2018 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot. He also served as the Chair of the Mental Health and Wellness Committee for two years, the elected student representative on several Faculty committees, and was a Band Director for the annual “Law Show”.
Daniel joined Osler as a summer student in 2018 and completed his articles with the firm in 2019-2020 with a focus on tax law and litigation.
