Daniel obtained his J.D. from the University of Alberta. He previously completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Music, from the University of Calgary. During his undergraduate studies, Daniel completed his honours thesis in a pharmacology and physiology lab.
In law school, Daniel worked as a research assistant with the Health Law Institute and as a Legal Research and Writing Fellow, where he taught first-year law students foundational legal research and writing skills. Daniel represented the University of Alberta at the 2019 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot and the 2018 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot. Daniel was actively involved in promoting student mental health at the Faculty of Law and served as the Chair of the Mental Health and Wellness Committee for two years. He also acted as the elected student representative on several Faculty committees and was a Band Director for the annual “Law Show”. During his articles, Daniel will complete a secondment to Osler's New York office.
