Frédéric’s practice focuses on litigation, particularly securities litigation, penal, competition, public and administrative law, as well as employment and labour law. Frédéric also acts for public issuers and market participants in connection to regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. Frédéric has appeared before every level of Court in Canada.

Prior to joining the firm, Frédéric completed the civil law program at the University of Sherbrooke. During his law studies, he participated in a mock appeal civil trial and in the Laskin Moot Court Competition. Frédéric has also been assistant to Justice Paul Dunnigan of the Court of Québec in Sherbrooke.

    • Shoppers Drug Mart Inc., Pharmaprix Inc. and Sanis Health Inc. regarding regulatory matters;
    • The Stars Group Inc. (formerly Amaya Inc.) and its directors in connection with a securities class action;
    • Royal Bank of Canada in its class action in connection with the liability of financial institutions;
    • Les Pétroles Irving Inc. in the context of class actions based on alleged contraventions to the Competition Act;
    • Acting for defendants in penal cases where the Autorité des marchés financiers filed penal charges for alleged violation to the Quebec Securities Act;
    • Acting for defendants in administrative cases before the Financial Markets Administrative Tribunal;
    • Microsoft Canada Inc. in its civil and regulatory proceedings involving inter alia, Consumer Protection Act;
    • Trane Inc. regarding labour disputes;
    • Acting in various investigations conducted by the Autorité des marchés financiers; and
    • Preparing and advising on offer letters, contracts, employee communications, executive compensation arrangements and terminations for numerous national and international organizations in both the private and public sectors.
