Gillian’s role is unique at Osler in that she is a partner whose practice focuses full time on client relations and business development.
Working closely with Osler’s Marketing and Client Relations team, Gillian promotes the litigation department’s dispute resolution and risk management services in a way that recognizes that creating opportunities and establishing client relationships in these areas is unique. She also works to build profile and grow relationships for Osler’s Franchise & Distribution, Gaming and Privacy groups.
Externally, Gillian represents Osler in a number of legal and industry forums, supports the pursuit of opportunities, and works to optimize the Osler service experience by acting as a direct liaison with existing and potential clients as well as referral partners. From designing alternative fee arrangements with clients to bring certainty to their legal spend, to advising on pitches, to building practice growth campaigns, to developing legal products to packaging and positioning legal services in innovative ways, Gillian works to ensure Osler is ahead of the curve in the quickly evolving business of law. Gillian also supports and coaches partners and associates in developing new business and in growing firm client relationships.

Gillian actively contributes to litigation forums, franchise legal and industry groups, and legal marketing and business of law organizations in both Canada and the United States.
