Haley practices in Osler's Financial Services group with a focus on the regulation of financial institutions and financial service providers. Haley routinely advises banks, captive finance companies, trust companies, insurance companies, fintechs, and other financial services providers on a wide variety of federal and provincial regulatory matters, including cost of borrowing and consumer protection legislation. She also provides advice on debt collection, credit reporting, unclaimed property, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism financing and sanctions laws.
Haley was seconded to the retail banking group of a major Canadian bank from May 2020 through March 2021.
Prior to joining Osler, Haley worked in the commercial litigation and appellate group of a New York-based law firm, where she focused on regulatory litigation in state and federal courts.
