James maintains a developing practice in tax law with an emphasis on corporate income tax planning.
James graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he received several academic prizes in subjects relating to tax law. He obtained his Bachelor of Mathematics and Master of Accounting degrees from the University of Waterloo. Prior to attending law school, James worked as a manager at an international accounting ﬁrm in its corporate tax department. James is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
James joined Osler as a summer student in 2017 and completed his articles with the firm in 2018-2019.
