Justin works in Osler's Insolvency and Restructuring Group with an emphasis on restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy, secured transactions, and the enforcement of debtor and creditor rights. Justin was called to the Bar in England & Wales after completing his two-year training contract with the London office of an international law firm. He is currently working towards becoming dual-qualified in Ontario.

Prior to joining Osler, Justin gained experience in multiple cross-border and domestic leveraged finance, restructuring and private equity transactions. In addition, he has worked on several contentious matters including corporate investigations and white-collar crime.

Justin enjoys giving back to the community and has worked in a pro-bono capacity for Kids in Need of Defence, the Family Law Clinic and Pathways to Law among other charitable organisations.

    • *Acted for a Cable Broadband Services Provider in connection with the refinance of its existing US$2,300,000,000 and €1,330,000,000 term loan facilities.
    • *Acted for a Private Equity Sponsor with respect to its capital injection to stabilize the financial and trading position of a British Value Variety Store.
    • *Acted for Private Equity Sponsor in connection with a US$275,000,000 asset-based loan credit agreement and a €75,700,000 term loan credit agreement to finance the cross-border acquisition of global providers of ski equipment and creation of security interests in 11 different countries.
    • *Acted for a Trustee Service Provider with its appointment as security agent for certain secured parties in connection with a Care Home Services Provider.
    • *Acted for a Private Equity Sponsor on its co-investments into a developer of Telecommunications Infrastructure and a Shipping Services Provider.
    • *Acted for a Private Equity Sponsor in relation to a dispute involving investors and shareholders of a casino.
    • *Acted for a Multinational Pharmaceutical Company on its internal investigation into the provision of kickbacks to doctors acting for one of their European branches.
    • *Acted for the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Executive Officer of a hedge fund in relation to breaches of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Principles for Approved Persons.
