Karen returns to Osler as an Articling Student after joining the firm as a Summer Student in 2018. Karen is a graduate of the Juris Doctor program at the University of Alberta. During law school, she represented the University of Alberta at the 2019 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot and volunteered with Student Legal Services of Edmonton and the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. In her last semester of law school, Karen completed a semester abroad at Lund University in Sweden.  

Prior to attending law school, Karen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Alberta, graduating with First Class Honors. During her undergraduate degree, she received the Office of the Provost and VP (Academic) Summer Research Award and an Alberta Innovates Health Solutions Summer Studentship to conduct research.
