Katie obtained her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, including a final year at the University of Calgary under a special Letter of Permission. Throughout law school, she was an active member of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association and Women’s Rugby Team. Katie returns to Osler as an Articling Student after enjoying two years as a summer student with the firm.
Before law, Katie obtained a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science from Quest University Canada, where she received the esteemed David Strangway Award for Excellence. Her research and advocacy has inspired government policy, been presented on national and international stages, and received praise from organizations including the Canadian Commission for UNESCO. Katie has also taught and performed classical piano as an advanced graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music program.
