Katie has completed her first year of the J.D. program at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia (“Allard”). At Allard, Katie has been an active member of the Indigenous Law Students Association, Women’s Caucus, and the Women’s Rugby Team.

Prior to law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science from Quest University Canada, where she was the recipient of the David Strangway Award for Excellence. During her time at Quest, Katie acted as a member of the Arts Committee. For her undergraduate thesis work, she advocated for increased regulation of the chemical triclosan. Her research and advocacy has been recognized by the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, Maclean’s Magazine, CBC Radio, and the David Suzuki Foundation.
