For more than 25 years, Kevin has acted as a key advisor to numerous financial institutions, funds, export credit agencies and other credit providers. Kevin has significant experience in: multi-jurisdictional asset-based, project, acquisition, commercial, cash flow, equipment, subordinate and mezzanine financings; capital market transactions; the establishment, acquisition and divestiture of finance businesses and portfolios; and financial institution regulation and licensing. Kevin also has significant insolvency and restructuring experience, having represented creditors in connection with the restructuring or recovery of billions of dollars of debt. 

    • Comark Inc., one of Canada's leading specialty apparel retailers, in connection with its CCAA proceedings.
    • Acting for Deutsche Bank AG, as Administrative Agent and Collateral Agent, in connection with a U.S. $200 million debtor-in-possession financing of Essar Steel Algoma and certain of its affiliates to facilitate a restructuring under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.
    • Acting for Bank of America, N.A., as Term Agent, in connection with U.S. $1.035B of initial term loans to facilitate Hudson’s Bay Company’s acquisition of Galeria Kaufhof GmbH and certain of its affiliates.
    • Acting for Barclays Bank, PLC, as Agent, in connection with its U.S. and Canadian asset-based loans to facilitate Centerbridge Partners LP’s acquisition of KIK Custom Products Inc. and certain of its affiliates.
    • Acting on behalf of Bank of America, N.A., as Agent, in connection with a U.S. $600 million senior secured asset-based revolving credit facility in favour of Resolute Forest Products Inc. and Resolute FP Canada Inc.
    • Acting for Bank of America, N.A. (including its Canada Branch) as Canadian and U.S. ABL Agents and First and Second Lien Term Agents in connection with the financing (in an aggregate amount exceeding U.S. $3.25B) of Hudson's Bay Company’s acquisition of Saks Incorporated.
    • Acting for RBC, as Agent, and Lenders in connection with the financing of TriWest Capital Partners’, Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund’s and Northwest Capital Appreciation’s acquisition of NCSG Crane & Heavy Hauling Corporation.
    • Acting for RBC, as Agent, and Lenders in connection with an asset-based loan facility in favour of Select Staffing.
    • Acting on behalf of RBC, as Agent, and Lenders in connection with Revolving and Term Loans to JBS Food Canada Inc. to facilitate its acquisition of the XL Foods plants.
