Lillian practices intellectual property law, with a focus on intellectual property litigation, primarily in the area of complex patent litigation, including patent validity, infringement, and impeachment, pharmaceutical patent litigation under Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations and damages actions. 

Lillian has appeared as counsel before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal.

Lillian has been named a Rising Star in Canada by Managing IP for 2020/2021.

Prior to joining the firm, Lillian received her law degrees from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy after completing the Canadian & American Dual J.D. program. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Victoria. While attending law school, Lillian served on the Students’ Law Society as the elected Dual J.D. Representative to Faculty Council and she represented Windsor Law at the Canadian intellectual property law moot, the Harold G. Fox Moot Competition.

    • Counsel to Teva Canada Limited in various patent matters including Novo Nordisk Canada Inc. et al. v Teva Canada Limited et al. T-727-18 relating to liraglutide (VICTOZA ®) and Bayer Inc. et al. v Teva Canada Limited T-1960-18, 2020 FCA 86 relating to rivaroxaban (XARELTO ®).
    • Counsel to Mylan Pharmaceuticals ULC in various matters involving patent infringement, validity and damages including Eli Lilly Canada Inc. et al. v Mylan Pharmaceuticals ULC T-1627-16, 2020 FC 816 relating to tadalafil (CIALIS ®).
