Madeleine Blouin is in the Juris Doctor program at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, Madeleine obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a minor in Sociology from St. Francis Xavier University, where she graduated with distinction. While studying in Nova Scotia, Madeleine acted as VP Finance of the Schwartz Women in Business Society, where she helped organize a national undergraduate conference celebrating diversity as a catalyst of success.
Since beginning law school, Madeleine has been a semi-finalist in a moot competition where she was also nominated for best factum, worked for a well-known criminal lawyer in Toronto on a high-profile case, and interned at a full-service law firm in Whitby, Ontario, focusing predominantly on corporate matters.
Throughout her second year, Madeleine volunteered with WLMP, a mentorship program that encourages women to develop a support system that will help them throughout their legal careers. She also served as a committee member on the AÉCLSS, the Common Law student government at the University of Ottawa.
Madeleine will be working with the Corporate and Banking & Financial Services groups this summer.
