Marisa is an associate in the Montreal office and a member of the corporate group. Marisa practices in corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on private and public mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and divestitures, joint ventures, venture capital financings and corporate governance matters. She has been listed as a "One to Watch" for Mergers and Acquisitions in Best Lawyers in Canada in 2023 and 2024. At Osler, Marisa is the national Associate Co-Lead of the Osler Women Lawyers’ Network and is an inaugural member of the Osler Associate Business Development Committee.
Marisa joined the firm as a summer student in 2015 and completed her articles in both the Montreal and New York offices in 2017.
Marisa obtained both Common Law and Civil Law degrees from McGill University and completed her law degree on exchange at l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Prior to law school, Marisa obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University with a Joint Honours in Political Science and Sociology, including completing a semester abroad studying International Political Economy in Florence, Italy.
Marisa completed a secondment at the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSPIB) in 2022.
