Patrick is a partner in the Financial Services Group of our Calgary office. He has experience in corporate finance with a focus on banking, corporate and commercial lending and real estate finance. Patrick acts for borrowers, financial institutions, administrative agents and sponsors as well as clients on a variety of transactions, from bilateral facilities to cross-border syndicated facilities. He also works across a multitude of sectors, including healthcare, retail, commercial, hotel and leisure.

Prior to joining Osler, Patrick was a partner at another Canadian law firm.

    Prior to joining Osler:

    • Acted on behalf of a borrower and its related entities in connection with credit facilities in excess of $1 billion
    • Acted on behalf of a lender in connection with credit facilities in excess of $120 million for the financing of industrial properties in Alberta.
    • Acted on behalf of a lender in connection with credit facilities in excess of $80 million for the financing of industrial properties in Alberta.
    • Acted on behalf of an international loan servicer as administrative and security agent in connection with the £305 million financing of a portfolio of student accommodation units.
    • Acted on behalf of an international loan servicer as administrative and security agent in connection with the £334 million financing of an office building.
    • Acted on behalf of a borrower in connection with $300 million syndicated credit facility.
    • Acted on behalf of a borrower and its related entities in connection with credit facilities in the aggregate amount of £263 million.
    • Acted on behalf of a borrower and its related entities in connection with credit facilities in the aggregate amount of £383 million.
    • Acted on behalf of a real estate investment fund in connection with credit facilities in the aggregate amount of £185 million.
    • Acted on behalf of the senior arranger in connection with credit facilities in the aggregate amount of £320 million.
