Sergio practices commercial and tax litigation. He excels at giving practical, solution-oriented advice to individual, corporate, and institutional clients on a wide range of disputes. His experience includes federal and provincial tax appeals, contractual disputes, judicial reviews, constitutional challenges, class actions, bankruptcy, injunctions, and construction litigation. Sergio is adept at navigating the rules of procedure. He has represented clients in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Tax Court of Canada.
Sergio joined Osler as a summer student in 2017 and completed his articles with the firm in 2018-2019.
Prior to joining Osler, Sergio completed the J.D. program at the University of Victoria. During his time at the University of Victoria, Sergio worked as a tutor to his peers and as a research assistant to Carol Liao, Tim Richards, and the British Columbia Law Institute. Sergio also participated in the Environmental Law Centre and the Business Law Clinic.
