Shari advises Canadian and international clients on a variety of employment and labour law matters, including employment standards, human rights, employee terminations, workplace health and safety, as well as employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Shari regularly provides advice to and negotiates contractual arrangements on behalf of employers, on matters including employment compensation arrangements and agreements, bonus plans, confidentiality, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements as well as termination arrangements for departing employees. Shari also assists employers in drafting and implementing workplace policies.
Shari represents clients in a variety of judicial and administrative proceedings including in human rights tribunals, wrongful dismissal litigation proceedings, and grievance arbitrations.
Prior to her career in law, Shari spent over 10 years in the media industry, where she was a film and television producer. Shari oversaw a successful media production company and she is the recipient of numerous international awards and nominations, including the Emmy and Gemini awards.
