Sunia has completed her second year of the J.D. program at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, she completed a B.Sc. with a Specialization in Biology with distinction at McMaster University. During this time, she worked with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to document the agency's adoption of genomics technologies.
Sunia contributes to her law school by mentoring and acting as a Teaching Assistant for Property and Legal Research. She also worked as an Assistant Editor with the Ottawa Law Review.
Committed to issues around inclusivity and interfaith advocacy, Sunia serves as an executive member of the University of Ottawa’s Muslim Law Students Association. In this role, she helped to pilot an interfaith wellness room in the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law.
While at Osler, Sunia will be working with the Litigation, Health and Labour and Employment groups.
