Waleed has a broad litigation practice. He has particular experience in insolvency and restructuring matters, including representing debtor companies in CCAA proceedings, foreign representatives in cross-border recognition proceedings, and court-appointed receivers. Waleed also has experience in international trade matters, including investment treaty arbitration and procurement disputes, and a range of civil and commercial litigation matters, including domestic and international arbitrations, contractual disputes, class actions, construction and infrastructure litigation, and tax litigation.
After graduating from law school, Waleed articled with the firm in 2014-2015. He then served as a law clerk to Associate Chief Justice Hoy and Justices LaForme, Pepall and Pardu at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
