Representing Kids Help Phone on various pro bono matters

The Pro Bono Cause

Kids Help Phone (KHP) is a Canadian non-profit organization that offers 24/7 professional counselling services, information and referrals to children and youth dealing with a wide array of life challenges. KHP offers bilingual services through multiple mediums including by telephone, live chat and through the organization’s website. KHP’s services are also free, anonymous and confidential. Since its creation in 1989, KHP has developed a strong expertise and is now a leader in this field.

Research shows that KHP helps significantly improve youth mental health,  and the demand for its services is growing. This demonstrates the organization’s essential role vis-à-vis the well-being of young people across Canada.

Volunteer Reflections

It is a great pleasure and privilege to work with the dedicated people of KHP. I am proud to help them meet their legal challenges so that they can continue to help young Canadians with their own challenges of all kinds. François Laurin-Pratte
