The Pro Bono Cause
Mila is a non-profit organization whose research focuses on artificial intelligence. Today, Mila is recognized for its contributions to the field of machine learning and has nearly 900 dedicated researchers. Since its founding in 1993, Mila's mission has been to be a global hub for scientific advances that inspire innovation and the growth of AI for the benefit of all.
Studies show that Mila contributes significantly to the influence of artificial intelligence in Quebec. The Mila organization and the growth of AI have encouraged the arrival in the metropolitan area of some thirty companies that have made investments of more than $700 million.
The Osler Pro Bono Connection
Osler has a long-standing interest in the artificial intelligence sector and has supported Mila's mission for the past few years. Nathalie Beauregard, a partner in Osler's corporate law group, has been instrumental in resolving incorporation and trust issues.
