This workshop highlights how a single event, or series of events, can spiral into a crisis for an enterprise and its stakeholders, including employees, executives, shareholders and professional service providers. Through a series of scenarios, and specifically through the eyes and perspectives of general and inside counsel, participants will explore how best to respond, and how not to react, to crisis situations and the managing of ever-evolving legal risks within and throughout their organizations. Lawrence Ritchie will lead a discussion on the approaches that in-house counsel can use to identify ‘red-flags,’ to respond effectively to crises and to manage significant organizational risks before they become a crisis, and as the matter escalates.
