Lawrence Ritchie retires from FSRA Board

Larry Ritchie, partner, Litigation and Chair, Risk Management and Crisis Response, has concluded his role with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) Board of Directors. He joined the FSRA Board in 2018 when it was first formed and was the inaugural Chair of the Rules and Policy Committee of the Board.

Larry continues to lead the national Risk Management and Crisis Response practice at Osler where he is also one of the firm’s key contacts for the Securities Regulatory Enforcement and Broker-Dealer Practice.

“Larry’s tenure has been marked by an unparalleled dedication to excellence and a profound commitment to the financial services sector,” says Joanne De Laurentiis, Chair of the FSRA Board. “Larry’s contributions have been invaluable, and his impact on the Board immeasurable.”

In 2015, Larry was appointed by the Ontario government to serve on a three-person expert panel. The panel’s recommendations laid the groundwork for the creation of an enhanced financial services regulator in the form of FSRA.
