Simon completed his J.D. at Queen’s University. Prior to law school, he earned his B.A. in History and Certificate in Business at the University of Guelph, where he graduated with distinction. Alongside his studies, he also competed on the varsity rugby team.
During law school, Simon explored a variety of extracurricular and experiential learning opportunities. He volunteered with the Conflict Analytics Lab, where he examined the application of data science and machine learning to dispute resolution. He worked as an intern with the Department of Justice and as a research assistant, investigating the use of multi-tier and mixed method dispute resolution clauses in Canada. Finally, Simon represented Queen’s at the John H. Jackson International Trade Moot.
