- What are some of the key elements that boards and companies should have in place to ensure that they are creating the proper systems and behaviours to ensure that these types
of issues do not emerge?
- What is the board’s role in monitoring a company’s preparedness and compliance – how is this handled at the board level?
- What are the appropriate steps to undertake in the event of a special circumstance – who becomes involved – what are the public disclosure requirements?
- Often these types of issues are rife with conflict-of-interest dynamics – what are some of the best practices in ensuring that these types of matters are handled with the care
and discretion required?
