Biography

Victoria’s practice focuses on corporate and regulatory issues relating to financial institutions and public and private corporations, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, restructurings and corporate finance. Victoria joined the firm as a summer student in 1997 and recently completed a secondment with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

  • Macquarie Bank in its acquisition of Blackmont Capital.
  • General Motors in its successful out of court restructuring, in connection with Exchange Offers and Consent Solicitations for outstanding Notes and the successful sale of substantially all of its assets of GM Canada to GM under section 363 of Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
  • Royal Bank of Canada in its acquisition of Royal Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Ventas Inc. in its successfully litigated cash acquisition of the assets of Sunrise Senior Living REIT.
  • Sapporo Breweries Ltd. in its acquisition of Sleeman Breweries Ltd.
  • Liberty Media Corporation in its acquisition of FUN Technologies Inc.
