Jenny is an associate in the corporate department at Osler in Toronto. Jenny practises in the area of corporate and securities law, with a particular emphasis on corporate finance and securities, asset management, investment fund and securities regulatory matters.

Jenny has assisted clients to obtain regulatory approval for novel business strategies through applications for registration and exemptive relief. Jenny has experience advising registrant clients in setting up their compliance and investment management infrastructure including developing tailored policies and procedures and investment management documentation. She regularly advises on day-to-day compliance issues and assists with regulatory audits. She has a deep knowledge of registrants’ obligations under anti-money laundering (AML) legislation and has experience in assisting clients in developing and assessing the effectiveness of their AML compliance systems.

Jenny has assisted in the formation of investment funds and has prepared related agreements, relevant applications and other documentation in connection with the launch of a fund. In addition to investment fund and regulatory matters, Jenny has experience assisting clients in capital raising and other corporate transactions.

Jenny participated in the development of several policy projects in addition to operational work over a two-year period working in the Corporate Finance Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission.

Prior to joining Osler, Jenny worked for a securities law boutique where her practice focused on regulatory compliance and investment fund matters.
