Lauren is an associate in the Health Group of our Toronto office. She graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Alberta. Prior to attending law school, Lauren obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences with Honours from the University of Calgary, with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Health & Society.
In law school, Lauren served as a Student Representative for the Law Faculty Council and worked as an Editor for the Centre for Constitutional Studies Journal, the Constitutional Forum. Following her first year of law school, she held research positions with Vice Dean John MacDonald and Professor Ubaka Ogbogu. Lauren also represented the University of Alberta in the Bennett Jones Health Moot, along with her teammates.
During her time at the University of Calgary, Lauren volunteered with many non-profit initiatives such as Canadians for Safe Syrian Healthcare. She also held several research positions, one of which included spending a summer in rural Tanzania studying women’s access to basic human rights.
