Toronto welcomes five new partners: James Brown, who specializes in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, mining and general corporate matters; Ted Liu, who advises on general corporate matters with a focus on technology, mergers and acquisitions, privacy, procurement, e-commerce and gaming; Sarah Millar, the Head of our Discovery Management Group who specializes exclusively in the area of discovery; Elliot Smith, who works extensively on major infrastructure projects, advising on project management, procurement, contract negotiations and administrative issues; and Blair Wiley, who practices in the area of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on regulatory matters relating to trading securities and derivatives, including registration and marketplace regulation.

Calgary also counts one new partner with the addition of Joanne Vandale. She provides strategic planning on the income tax aspects of transactions entered into by corporations, partnerships and trusts, including internal reorganizations, inbound and outbound investment and financing, and natural resource taxation.
