Simon Hodgett named member of FinTech Working Group for the Ontario Ministry of Finance

Osler is proud to announce that Simon Hodgett, a partner in the firm’s Technology Group, has been named a member of the FinTech Working Group for the Ontario Ministry of Finance. The group comprises a team of leading financial services and technology experts appointed  to help the Ministry shape Ontario’s FinTech strategy. The team was announced in a press release from the Government of Ontario on October 17, 2017.

The group’s overall goal is to enhance Ontario’s position as a global leader in FinTech.

Simon is currently leading numerous important FinTech deals for Osler clients. He has more than two decades of experience advising clients on technology, outsourcing and other complex service arrangements and procurements. Simon also advises a wide range of technology suppliers from large, established software providers to early stage technology companies. As well as FinTech, his practice includes data analytics agreements, outsourcing arrangements, software licensing, government contracting and e-commerce.
