Osler is pleased to welcome Joanna Cameron as a partner in our Corporate practice based in Vancouver.
Joanna joins Osler with over 20 years of experience in corporate and securities law with national and regional law firms with a primary focus on capital markets transactions and business law matters, including equity and debt financings, initial public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions (public and private) in a variety of industries. She has also provided ongoing advice to public and private companies regarding corporate governance, continuous discourse obligations, Canadian stock exchange issues, and various other corporate and securities law compliance matters. Prior to joining Osler, she was associate counsel at a Vancouver-based boutique securities law firm.
Recent deals in which Joanna has been involved include a US$470 million acquisition in the mining industry and a CDN$150 million energy company acquisition. She has been named for six years in Best Lawyers in Canada, including 2020 and 2021, for mining, corporate and securities law.

Joanna earned an Executive MBA from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management, her LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan and a B.A. (Honours) from Queen’s University. Joanna is called to the Bar in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Osler has received a Band 1 ranking by Chambers Canada 2022 for Capital Markets and Corporate / M&A and a Band 1 ranking by Chambers Global 2021 for Capital Markets and Corporate / M&A. Best Lawyers in Canada has also recognized Osler as “Law Firm of the Year” in the area of Securities Law (Canada), 2021.
