Osler is proud to congratulate Janice Buckingham for being recognized with the Women in Law Leadership (WILL) Award for Leadership in the Profession (Private Practice).
Janice is a leader in the energy sector, frequently recommended and sought after for her extensive and market-leading transactional experience. She is a partner in Osler’s Energy Practice and a past co-lead of the team. She focuses on the commercial and strategic development, acquisition and divestiture of complex energy production liquefaction, transportation and storage projects in Canada. Her work as a founding member of Osler’s Calgary Diversity Committee has been instrumental in spearheading key diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at the firmr, in law schools in Alberta and throughout the legal community.
Founded in 2010, the WILL awards recognize contributions of women lawyers in Alberta across several award categories, including Leadership in the Profession (In-House/Government), Leadership in the Profession (Private Practice), Leadership in the Profession (Broader Roles) and Leadership in the Community and Tomorrow’s Leader. The WILL Awards were co-founded by The Counsel Network and the Association of Women Lawyers.
Winners of the WILL awards were honoured at the 13th annual awards dinner on November 23, 2023, in Edmonton.
