Osler is pleased to announce that Michael Innes has been appointed National Chair of the firm’s Corporate department. This group encompasses our industry-leading Capital Markets, Emerging and High Growth Companies, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practices.
Michael advises clients on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and general corporate matters across several sectors of the economy. He has been recognized nationally and internationally as a leading capital markets and cross-border corporate lawyer.
Prior to this appointment, Michael held numerous other leadership roles within the firm, serving on the partnership board and several committees. He was Co-Chair of the firm’s Capital Markets practice for a number of years, helping it to grow to the top-ranked group it is today. In January, Osler was ranked the #1 legal advisor to issuers for combined equity and debt offerings in the Financial Post’s Canadian capital markets league tables for the fourth year in a row.
